Paradox Lake

Amos' family and a couple of their friends decided to get a cabin in the Adirondacks for this weekend, so him, Kenny, and I got to head to the land of no internet or cell service. (yeah, I'm still not quite sure how Amos survived either). It was pretty darn sweet though. We went out on his boat and dragged people behind it in the freezing cold water and watched them flail around (Amos' little brother Alex and his friend were particularly amusing, mostly because Ed looked SUPER unhappy for pretty much the duration of his tubing experience. He either has his head back and eyes closed looking like he was holding back the vomit, or he was mouthing things like "oH fUCk, SHIT, oh my FUCK") It was an all around good time. We barbecued, we made s'mores on a campfire--that was actually kind of a failure, but still fun. And I got to laugh at Ed again after he cracked up about Alex dropping his s'more so hard that he dropped his own. We went out in the canoe at night and talked about which constellations were which until we finally admitted that none of us had any fucking idea what we were talking about. And we found out the lake has a really cool echo, but that it can get kinda creepy. Oh and then we went inside and Kenny and Amos made "hot chocolate floats" Yeah, you're figuring out what that is right now and its hurting your arteries, isnt it. We also ate "fried donuts" (or "re-fried" if you wanna be precise) which is where you cut a donut in half, butter it, and fry it in a skillet like a grilled cheese. Tasty, but painful.
