Romans In Bath

It seems that people in England like dressin up. I don't mean dressing "smart," I mean superhero costumes (which we saw in Oxford). A while ago in Bath we saw a group of pirates followed closely by Napoleon. So last night when we were all going out for Molly's birthday, and we saw a bunch of girls dressed up like fairies, we didn't think all that much of it. But it did strike up a conversation about the British love of dress up. Hardly had we gotten into this conversation when we arrive at the pub. And immediately notice a large battalion of Roman soldiers. ....OF course. Turns out its a stag party, and the groom to be had decided he wanted all his friends to be Romans. Then they asked, where do Romans go? Bath. NONE of them were from this city, they had come to see, drink, conquer, and leave. None of them managed to conquer me, but I guess I'm more resilient than most of Western Europe. They did make Molly's birthday ROCK however, so congrats to them for that.
